Holy State University offers ONLINE studies and accelerated educational degrees with low costs, fast, easy and simple educational approach. Our University is an online distance learning institution of higher education where the educational process is accomplished by using modern forms of Internet communications. Our students can perform studies for any educational degree: Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, Doctoral and PhD.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARE ADMITTED
During COVID-19 pandemic emergencies all deadlines are suspended We will be trying to follow our regular deadlines but deadlines are not guaranteed (unless expedited services are specifically requested)
ADMISSION DOCUMENTS PROCESSING
Admission is officially completed ONLY after the approval of all documents and the receipt of cleared funds for at least the first payment. "Cleared funds" are the funds that are processed by our bank as "available funds". For example, sending a check or initiating a "wire-transfer" would not be considered as "cleared funds" because "cleared funds" are the funds that are already processed by our bank.
It will take approximately up to 15 business days to process all documents for the admission (after we would inform you that your admission is completed). At this period, admission is completed, but we also need to process all documents. Processing of documents for the admission has the meaning that we need to create an educational file, we need to process all submitted documents and to prepare customized curriculum (educational plan) according to your personal needs and educational requirements.
"Admission Letters" and "Statements of Academic Record" are issued only upon written request (e-mail is acceptable). Letters are not issued before the admission is completed. Processing time for the issuance of letters - up to 15 business days.
RESPONSE TIME FOR EMAIL INQUIRIES
OUR STANDARD RESPONSE TIME FOR EMAIL INQUIRIES: Average response time to any questions is up to 72 hours (excluding Saturdays and Sundays); however, we do not guarantee exact deadlines. Any student is free to remind that he expects an answer, because (statistically) not all emails are delivered (by e-mail servers) to recipients (up to 2-6% of all emails can be potentially lost during the electronic delivery process).
We do not automatically respond with receipt confirmation for any submitted educational work. It must be assumed that results for any submitted educational work will be announced within regular examination response periods as described on this page. If you are not receiving examination results in a timely manner, please feel free to remind us that you are expecting examination/evaluation results.
RELEASE OF EXAMINATION RESULTS FOR WRITTEN COURSE-WORK (ESSAY)
Results of educational work examinations (Essay) are released within 15 business days for each Essay submission; however, results can be announced in a longer or shorter period of time (we do not guarantee exact deadlines). If a student submits multiple Essays at the same time, please multiply 15 business days by the number of submitted Essays.
RELEASE OF EXAMINATION RESULTS FOR MASTER'S DEGREE THESIS
Master’s Degree Thesis examination results are released within 4 weeks from the time of final version submission; however, results can be announced in a longer or shorter period of time (we do not guarantee exact deadlines).
OPTIONAL (not required): Upon payment of "Expedited Processing Fee" of $200, any student may request expedited handling of Master’s Degree Thesis evaluation (examination will be completed within approximately 10 days from the time of Master’s Thesis final version submission). If the first version of Master’s Thesis was rejected, or if you would receive the request to make any additional corrections, expedited handling can be also applied for any additional re-submissions (10 days).
RELEASE OF EXAMINATION RESULTS FOR DOCTORAL/PHD THESIS or DISSERTATION
Doctoral and PhD Degree Thesis (Dissertation) examination results are released within 8 to 10 weeks from the time of final version submission (however, results can be announced in a longer or shorter period of time (we do not guarantee exact deadlines).
OPTIONAL (not required): Upon payment of "Expedited Processing Fee" of $250, you may request expedited handling of all evaluations that would be completed within approximately 20 days from the time of PhD Thesis (Dissertation) final version submission. If the first version of PhD Thesis (Dissertation) was rejected, or if you would receive the request to make any additional corrections, expedited handling would be also applied for any additional re-submissions.

GRADING METHODS - UNITED STATES EVALUATION SYSTEM (2 methods)
1. LETTER GRADING:
A (Excellent) = Top 10 % of Class B (Good) = Next 20 % of Class C (Average, Fair) = Next 30 % of Class D (Poor, Pass) = Next 20 % of Class F (Failure) = Bottom 20 % of Class
A = four grade points per educational credit B = three grade points per educational credit C = two grade points per educational credit D = one grade point per educational credit F = zero grade points per educational credit
2. PASS OR FAIL GRADING:
Results can be reflected as “passed” or “failed” (instead of letter grading).
GRADING METHODS - EUROPEAN EVALUATION SYSTEM (2 methods)
EUROPEAN APPROACH (BOLOGNA PROCESS) - Expressed in ECTS grading scale (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System)
1. LETTER GRADING:
A - excellent work, minor errors allowed B - above average work with some errors C - reasonable work with a number of notable errors D - fair work with significant omissions E – work with minimum acceptance standards FX - fail, but credit can be awarded after additional work F - fail, significant additional work is required
2. “PASS” OR “FAIL” GRADING (acceptable by Bologna Process – European approach)
Results can be reflected as “passed” or “failed” (instead of letter grading).
EDUCATIONAL WORK EVALUATIONS FOR GRADUATE AND POST-GRADUATE STUDENTS
MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAMS
Methods of evaluation: see above.
Master’s Thesis may generate 6 to 12 credits/United States, or 12-24 credits/European ECTS.
All study/research subjects and Master's Thesis are listed in the educational record (Transcript).
DOCTORAL AND PHD DEGREE PROGRAMS
Methods of evaluation: Study/research subjects and PhD Thesis will be listed in educational record (Transcript). No grades are required for Doctoral and PhD programs. For all courses we can use PASS or FAIL grading and the number of completed credits. Upon request, we may assign letter grading for all courses. Doctoral/PhD Thesis is always marked as Completed/Accepted without any letter grading or Pass/Fail grading.
PhD Thesis (Dissertation) may generate up to 24 credits/United States, or 48 credits/European (ECTS credits).
All study/research subjects and PhD Thesis are listed in the educational record (Transcript).
WE ARE ADMITTING STUDENTS THAT ARE WILLING TO PARTICIPATE IN INDEPENDENT STUDIES
All our programs are based on student's independent studies under our supervision and guidance.
We are NOT lecturing and NOT tutoring students, especially in graduate/postgraduate programs.
We are expecting to see independent people.
We are providing general guidance and students can ask any questions if they need additional clarification.
We are not expecting endless educational questions; otherwise it will be treated as tutoring. With advancements of the Internet, each student can search and can find almost all answers within a few minutes (by performing searches on the Internet).
Each student performs independent studies according to the provided educational curriculum and submits to us educational Essays in writing. We are examining student’s educational work and are issuing necessary recommendations, when needed.
If you are the person that cannot do anything independently (even with our general guidance) and you need constant advanced guidance and advanced assistance (above the general level), upon request, we can assign a personal educational supervisor for any student; but in this case, our costs for each program would be increased according to the costs of all additional personalized services (educational costs will be increased).
FORM OF COMMUNICATIONS
It is totally under the discretion of any educational establishment to make its own rules regarding educational and non-educational matters.
Your correspondence (in the form of electronic mail) is delivered to the general mailbox of the responsible department, where it is sorted and forwarded to the available adviser(s) responsible for the particular group of students.
Our assistance is generalized. In other words, we are not assigning individual adviser by the name, as a person attached to each student; but any our academic guidance member can participate in the guidance and can monitor progress of your studies/research.
Our letters (e-mails) would be signed not by the individual name, but by the name of the responsible Department. You will be receiving correspondence originating from the Department monitoring your studies (for example, Undergraduate Studies, Graduate Studies, etc.), where your file can be supervised and monitored by any academic staff member (at our discretion).
