Students transferring to the Holy State University

Transferring students can request an admission to any program at our University. Any former student of other educational institution is eligible for academic credits transfer (transfer of completed courses). To be eligible for the course (credits) transfer, person must complete educational course within the last 15 years and educational institution must be approved by us. Proof of completed courses required.

See what educational institutions are considered to be legitimate:

Transfer Process:

Eligibility for educational credits transfer:

Any former student of any educational institution is eligible for the credits transfers (educational institution must be approved by us).

Acceptance of educational credits from other institutions is strictly within our discretion and we can reject any educational institution for any reason.

During transfer to the Holy State University, person (prospective student) applies for studies at our University (as a prospective student) for the desired degree program. Admission process is the same as for any other prospective student. Visit pages: "Admissions" and "Application for Admission".

Transferring students must provide copies of diplomas (if degree programs were completed) and academic transcripts from each educational institution they previously attended and contact information for these institutions. All documents must be in English language or translated into English language, unless exempted by our representatives (visit page: "Admissions" - alternative methods for translations).

Academic history of transferring student will be evaluated. It requires in-depth analysis of every course taken at another college or university. Final evaluation will be performed ONLY after the admission (we will be able to give unofficial answer before the admission).

Applicant preferring to have exact information (before the admission) about the number of credits that we will be able to transfer, must pay $250 non-refundable evaluation fee, that will be credited back to student's financial account after the admission (as a completed payment that would be applied for any educational and other costs).

Please note that "$250 non-refundable evaluation fee" only applies if person wants to have transfer credits evaluation to be completed before the admission. However, if person is admitted, we are crediting back to student's account previously collected "$250 non-refundable evaluation fee" that can be used by student as a financial credit to pay any educational or other costs.

After evaluation, student receives all or partial credits for the completed courses already taken in other educational institution.

Credits Transfer processing fee (payable after the admission) is $250 for each academic year that requires evaluation for the purpose of transfer to our program.

We are not charging credits transfer processing fee for transfers to graduate / postgraduate programs.

All transferred courses/credits will be reflected in the Academic Record (Academic Transcript) as courses/credits transferred from other educational institution(s).

Prospective Students transferring to undergraduate programs

Transferring students are paying fees based on the number of remaining academic years/remaining number of required credits.

Each admitted student pays applicable fees (visit page "Educational Costs")

Each admitted student may use payment plan (visit page "Payment Plans")

If person wants to transfer from the university with high tuitions costs and person has at least two remaining academic years left for studies (60 educational credits left based on the U.S. evaluations, or 120 ECTS credits - European), we will remove credits transfer fees fees.

EXAMPLE - UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES:

Student “A” attended University “B” and completed two years of the four-year Bachelor’s degree program. Student “A” never completed program because of financial reasons, but obtained academic record/transcript for all completed courses from the University “B”.

Student “A” wants to finalize his studies and to receive Bachelor’s degree diploma. In this case (if we approved University “B”), we will need to evaluate two years of educational credits received by Student “A” during studies in the University “B”, to enable Student “A” to complete additional educational credits for the Bachelor’s degree program in our University.

Student “A” will be paying $250 for evaluation and transfer of credits for each academic year completed in other university (evaluation of two years of credits $250 + $250 = $500).

Transferring of credits for two academic years completed in other institutions will be equal to payment of $500 (evaluation and transfer of credits for two academic year completed in other institution). In addition, transferring student will be paying fees (during study process) for the additional educational credits required for the completion of Bachelor’s degree program in our University.

Visit page "Educational Costs"

The same approach is applicable for any other transfers for undergraduate degrees.

NOTE: If person wants to transfer from the university with high tuitions costs and person has at least two remaining academic years left for studies (60 educational credits left based on the U.S. evaluations, or 120 ECTS credits - European), we will remove credits transfer fees.

Prospective Students transferring to graduate/postgraduate programs

Master's, Doctoral and PhD programs are NOT falling into the same rules as undergraduate programs. Our fees for graduate / postgraduate programs are already low and we are not offering any costs reductions for the completed courses (received credits) in other educational institutions.

Prospective Students transferring to graduate/postgraduate programs (Master's, Doctoral and PhD) are paying full “PROGRAM FEE” (visit page "Educational Costs"), but will not be paying any "transfer fees". “PROGRAM FEES” are based on the minimal educational requirements for the program completion. If you already completed some graduate / postgraduate courses in other educational institution, we will evaluate these courses and, most likely, will be able to transfer some credits/courses to your new program (graduate / postgraduate programs have no "transfer fees" for the transfer of courses and credits).

All transferred courses/credits will be reflected in the Academic Record (Academic Transcript) as courses/credits transferred from other educational institution(s).

Each admitted student can use payment plans (visit page "Payment Plans")

EXAMPLE - GRADUATE /POSTGRADUATE STUDIES:

Student “A” attended University “B” and completed part of the Master's degree program. However, Student “A” never completed the program.

At present time, Student “A” desires to finalize studies and selected our student-friendly University because of our lowest educational costs.

If Student “A” attended educational institution that is approved by us, most likely, we will be able to transfer all or the most of previously earned credits (credits received in other institution).

Student “A” pays our fee for the Master's program (Visit page "Educational Costs"). We are not charging Student “A” for the process of transferring courses/credits. After that, Student “A” receives remaining educational credits by completing remaining educational work in our University.

Upon successful completion of all program requirements, Student “A” is receives all graduation documents for the Master's degree.

The same approach is applicable for any other transfers to any graduate degrees/postgraduate degree.
